If you receive a telephone call, from someone identifying himself or herself as a court employee or an employee of the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office regarding a failure to appear for jury service, THIS IS A SCAM. DO NOT PROVIDE ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION, OR PAY THEM ANY MONEY! If you are contacted, please call the Jury Commissioner's Office.

Online Services

To reduce unnecessary travel to courthouse facilities, the Court has many online options available to jurors. Check your reporting status or submit a request to be disqualified, postponed, or excused from service. You'll need to provide the badge number printed on your Jury Summons.

Requests to be disqualified, postponed, or excused must be submitted no later than NOON on Wednesday the week PRIOR to your appearance.

If you do not know your badge number, you may email your request (juror status, postponement request, etc.) along with your full name, date of birth, and zip code and someone will respond to you via email.

Juror Status

Jurors should check the Online Jury System after 5:00 P.M. on the night before their summons date to confirm their juror status.

A juror status of summoned means the juror has been mailed a Summons for Jury Service is required to appear on the date and time listed on their summons.

A juror status of ended  means service has been complete and the juror does not need to appear on the date and time listed on their Summons for Jury Service.

A juror status of ready means the juror is currently eligible and available to be summonsed by the court.
